Abstract

The paper aims to explore the state of the art of the use of AI systems in the healthcare sector, particularly in the form of software for clinical decision-making and medical devices. The authors take a twofold perspective: on the one hand, that of the jurist who notes the practical implications of AI applications in the treatment and promotion of human health and recommends the adoption of a regulation or evaluates the one adopted, in this case, the recent Regulation issued by the European Union. On the other hand, the point of view of medical science is taken, which, combined with bioethical reflection, highlights the feedback effects on post-modern man’s view of life.
